Tips

  • Enroll early — popular activities like Robotics and Dance fill up within the first week of the enrollment window.
  • Co-curricular participation is noted on your academic profile and can strengthen scholarship applications.

Why Co-Curriculars Matter

VidyaSchool's academic philosophy recognises that holistic development extends far beyond textbooks. Co-curricular activities cultivate creativity, teamwork, discipline, and leadership. Participation in these programmes is reflected in student portfolios and is considered during scholarship evaluations and annual recognition ceremonies.

Programme Structure

Co-curricular activities are organised into three main tracks: • Performing Arts: Classical Indian Dance, Choral & Classical Singing, Instrumental Music • STEM & Innovation: Lego Robotics, Science Olympiad Preparation, Coding Club • Sports & Athletics: School Cricket Team, Athletics Track, Yoga & Wellness Each track runs weekly sessions during school hours (designated activity periods) and may include additional weekend rehearsals for major events.

Enrollment & Selection

Students select one primary co-curricular track at the start of each academic year through the school office. Some programmes (e.g., Robotics Club, School Cricket Team) have limited seats and require an audition or selection trial. Students may participate in additional activities beyond their primary track on a best-effort basis, subject to teacher recommendation.

Annual Showcase Events

VidyaSchool holds several marquee events where co-curricular groups perform or compete: • Annual Day (March): School-wide cultural showcase featuring all performing arts groups. • Science & Innovation Fair (October): Student projects and Robotics demonstrations. • Sports Day (January): Athletics competition, team sports, and yoga demonstration. • Inter-School Competitions: Participating schools in district-level competitions in dance, music, robotics, and sports throughout the year.
